The Academy is a perfect choice for your continuing artistic education.
The International Guitar Academy Berlin offers to guitarists who would like to refresh, deepen and improve their knowledge and skills on the instrument, to guitar teachers, students and graduates who would like to further their education or prepare for an entrance examination, but also to enthusiastic amateurs and advanced music students the opportunity to obtain a certified and targeted education on an internationally first-class level in a limited or long-term period.
The Bologna process with its overall introduction of Bachelor and Master Degree programs have led to circumstances which greatly limit the availability of places for guitarists interested to pursue a Masters Degree at universities. As a result, educational programs of a professional/semi-professional character will be on the increase as they are essential to cultural life in general. IGAB presents precisely such an initiative.
The IGAB is nominally part of the Leo- Kestenberg Musikschule Tempelhof/Schöneberg von Berlin (LKMS).
The artistic director of the IGAB is Prof. Dr. Thomas Offermann.
